REGIONAL EMPLOYMENT REPORT

ADP Regional Employment Report: Arizona, Texas, and Utah Show Strongest Growth Rate in February Among States Tracked

West South Central and Mountain Show Strongest Regional Growth in February

Highlights

Note: Employment by state is determined by the state location of the worker’s payroll. In most cases, this approach aligns with the Bureau of Labor Statistics' measure of establishment employment, reflecting the state where an employee works. In some cases, a payroll located in a certain state may include employees from one or more states outside that state.

“U.S. regional private sector employment growth was slower in all regions in February compared to the six-month average,” said Ahu Yildirmaz, senior director of the ADP Research Institute®. “At the state level, New York rebounded this month to record almost four times the number of jobs added in January. By contrast, New Jersey added only one third the number of jobs from its strong showing last month.”
